Use scoped access, not your password

Connect through Google official sign-in so the agent gets a token with specific permissions, not your password. Grant read-only first. Separate scopes exist for reading mail, composing drafts, sending and managing the calendar; give only what the job needs.

Start read-and-draft

Let the agent summarize and write drafts into your drafts folder without send permission. Review for a few weeks. If you later allow sending, limit it to people you have already written to, and keep deletion off.
