An AI agent that lives in your own cloud account
Short answer: Why the strongest privacy setup runs your AI agent in a cloud account in your name, how ownership works, what happens if a host bans you, and what we can and cannot see.

How ownership works
You open an account with a GPU provider (Vast.ai first) and add your own card. We build the stack inside it. The machine is billed to you at cost. We do not host your files and we do not run your agent from an account of ours, so if you stop working with us you keep the setup.
What we can and cannot see
We hold the access we need to build and support the system. Stored keys and tokens are encrypted, scoped narrowly, and revocable by you in one click. Connections use HTTPS. We do not train on your data. We keep one safety log: requests blocked under our child-safety rules. We do not claim end-to-end encryption, because the model and the GPU host must read your text to answer it.
If a host bans or withdraws the machine
It can happen. Because the account is yours, a problem there affects you and not our other customers, and the stack is built to be portable: data sits on volumes and backups that can be restored on another provider. Moving takes effort, which is a reason to have someone on call.
What you should insist on
A written list of everything we hold access to, a one-click way to revoke each key, a statement of what is logged, a tested way to move to another host, and a plain description of what happens at the end of the contract. Ask any provider for the same. If they cannot show you these, the word private is a label rather than a design.
Cost
$10,000 setup plus $48,000 a year or $4,800 a month in dues, and compute billed by the provider to you at cost. The GPU is warm during your daytime hours and sleeps overnight.
Questions
Do I own the AI agent?
You own the account it runs in, the keys and the data. The software is open source.
Can Freeborn Labs read my chats?
We do not read them as a routine. We keep one safety log for blocked child-safety requests.
